Going to the Farm: an Interview with Jacob Pelissero
Jacob Pelissero epitomizes the character of a young egg farmer in Ontario today. He is a 4th generation egg farmer born and raised in Smithville Ontario, which is located in the Niagara region of the province.
His parents, Roger and Lorrie Pelissero, instilled in their three sons and one daughter the true value of hard work and healthy living. Those core values continue to stand true as Jacob broadens his horizons in the Egg industry.
Jacob recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce in Agricultural Business. He currently divides his time between his responsibilities on the family farm and as a Producer Representative for L.H. Gray & Son Limited.
Jacob is a strong advocate of the Dinner Starts Here.ca program in addition to advocating for both the Egg Farmers of Ontario and Egg Farmers of Canada.
